I'm not a blood and gore kind of guy (only play strategy games at any rate) but I really beleive this dlc adds a dimension to the game that belongs there.Best of luck to you wahtever you decide.: ). The blots are very brief at any rate.I encourage you to rethink your decision and consider the pack. If you ARE doing close ups it is because you want to see some realism, which is just what the blood-pack provides. If you are playing the game and focused on winning you aren't doing close-ups anyway. It also makes a detached player slightly more likely to see that his decisions are actually resulting in pain for the soldiers and thus helps with game immersion and reality.The 'blotting' effect (blood on the 'camera lens') only happens in close-ups.
Equally fair is that it looks ridiculous to see people getting hacked and just falling down bloodlessly. Some might say (fairly) that it is ridiculous looking. But when I went ahead and got it I liked it. It was the last one I bought (I thought I already bought the full pack of dlc)I thought it would be a waste of time and money, might blot the screen with gore, etc.
